Apple River Canyon State Park
The scouts of Troop 374 departed from Sandburg on Friday, April 15th and headed toward one of the most beautiful State Parks in Illinois. Since our last tent campout was in early November, to say that we were eager would have been an understatement.

The photos taken by Mr. Brunton and Mr. King throughout this trip were greatly appreciated. Many superb photos on this site were donated by them. It is a shame to shrink the size of these particular files because the scenery at Apple River Canyon was fantastic. The original photos (near 1000K in size) were reduced to about 75K each. This needed to happen to conserve web space, as well as to keep download time (based on 56K modems) to a minimum. Should a scout or family member of a scout desire to view the whole collection at a troop meeting, and/or want a high resolution version of certain photos, please email Mr. Pearson.
